LaserTube Ultra High Purity (UHP) stainless steel tubing is ideal for the pharmaceutical, semiconductor and other industries where ultra-cleanliness and extraordinary smooth surfaces are required for product purity and flow characteristics. LaserTube UHP has an extremely narrow heat-affected zone that makes it’s weld more corrosion resistant than conventionally made TIG welded tubing. LaserTube UHP is produced in accordance with ASTM and ASME applicable standards. All surface finishes are measured to ANSI B46.1 standards and meet or exceed the requirements of ASME-BPE SFT-1 through SFT-6.

Electropolishing, Cleaning and Surface Treatments
All LaserTube UHP is 100% borescoped prior to mechanical or electropolishing. After it is electropolished, it is passivated in either a nitric acid solution or a citric acid solution to remove any electropolishing residue and enhance the Cr/Fe ratio of the passive layer. When used in conjunction with our proven electropolishing process, passivation improves the original corrosion resistance of the alloy and minimizes the roughing potential.
We offer a range of cleaning services including clean for oxygen service and specialized cleaning to customers’ specifications that require solvent and heat deionized water processing. We also provide packing services such as capping, bagging, double bagging and sealing in a clean room environment – certified according to ISO Class 4 and Federal Standard #209 as class 100.
Quality & Mechanical Testing
To assure the highest quality, LaserTube UHP is subjected to extensive mechanical testing and inspection programs in accordance with ASTM 1016/1016M.

High Purity and Cleanliness Inside and Out
LaserTube Sanitary Stainless Tubing (SST) is ideal for the dairy, food and beverage industries where the highest degree of purity and cleanliness is essential. LaserTube SST’s extremely narrow heat affected zone reduces the corrosion potential along the weld far more than conventionally made TIG-welded tubing. LaserTube SST is produced to the requirements of ASTM A1016/1016M and to 3A finish specifications. A bright-annealed OD surface with the ID polished to 20Ra surface finish is available upon request.

Quality and Mechanical Testing
To assure that LaserTube SST meets the highest-quality standards, it is subjected to extensive testing and inspection programs that meet or exceed ASTM A270/A1016/A1016M test requirements.
Surface Finishes
LaserTube SST is mechanically polished to a 20Ra OD and ID surface finish. LaserTube can be supplied in the hydrogen bright anneal condition.
